We are participating in the Global Read Aloud project by reading Jennifer Holm's book: The Fourteenth Goldfish. We have connected with three 5th grade classes in Vermont as blogging partners. It is hard to not to get ahead in the book, because it is so compelling, but we are reading at the same pace as hundreds of other classes around the globe.
Check out this map , which was created by Ms. James' class in Mississauga, to see the location of some of the classes are that are also reading this book: . |
Grandpa and Mom's Fashion PageWe are tickled by the description of Grandpa and Mom's clothing choices, so we are challenging ourselves to draw them. Click on the page above to see descriptions from the book, and submit your drawings to your teacher to scan so we can post them. Teachers or students can submit drawings to [email protected]. Be sure to include a first name, state and/or country you live in, and which character you are drawing from which chapter right on the drawing. No last names, please. We can't wait to see your drawings!
